Amy Jo Bale
Front Desk Receptionist & Spa Attendant
Amy Jo Bale brings a lifelong passion for wellness to her role at Steamboat Hot Springs. With nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare—primarily serving Native and veteran communities through public health dentistry—she has dedicated her career to helping others heal and thrive. Now, as a massage therapy student nearing licensure, Amy Jo is excited to fully step into the world of bodywork and holistic wellness.
She is inspired by the ever-evolving nature of the wellness industry and hopes to be a source of encouragement and inspiration for others on their own self-care journeys. Working at Steamboat has been a serendipitous experience for her, where she deeply values the supportive team and the uniquely healing energy of the space.
Amy Jo is especially drawn to modalities such as Thai massage, hot stone therapy, craniosacral work, and aromatherapy. She believes in the importance of discovering and committing to a personal self-care practice, and she loves being part of an environment that encourages exactly that. The mineral waters inspire her to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect.
Outside of work, she enjoys literary projects, cooking, gardening, traveling, and somatic practices for nervous system regulation.
Fun Fact: Amy Jo has a fascination with bridge structures and the symbolism they hold—representing connection and the journey from one place to another.
